RV College of Nursing (RVCN) was established in the year 2003, and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences [RGUHS]. It is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and the Karnataka Nursing Council. The college is located in a spacious building and equipped with the latest infrastructure to train the students, in Jayanagar 4th block- which is a minute’s walk from the bus terminus, and is easily accessible from every part of the city.

The B.Sc. Nursing programme at RVCN stands out as a premier choice for aspiring nurses seeking a transformative education. The postgraduate programme is meticulously crafted to enhance nursing education and practice quality across India. This advanced course builds upon the foundational knowledge gained at the graduate level, focusing on applying pertinent theories to nursing practice, education, administration, and research skill development.
The Indian Nursing Council has initiated the “Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care Program” (NPCC) programme, the first postgraduate nursing residency program in India. The program is approved by the Government of India and launched by the Health Minister and it is announced on the INC website in the year 2017.
The PhD in Nursing programme was established in the RV College of Nursing in 2022 with the goal of enabling the nursing fraternity to acquire advanced research abilities and preparing nurse educators, administrators, and practitioners to conduct methodical research so as to raise the standard of nursing care.

RV Journal of Nursing Sciences (RVJNS) is a peer-reviewed online journal published by the R. V. College of Nursing (RVCN), Bengaluru, India. It is quarterly with editions published in January, April, July and October every year with e-ISSN: 2583-472X. It is a peer-reviewed journal that uses a double-blind review process for evaluation and selection of all submitted materials. RV Journal of Nursing Sciences provides a forum for articles on all aspects of higher degree nursing academics education, research, and management.
