He hails from a humble family from, Shivamogga district, Karnataka. He did  his B.Sc. Nursing degree from Govt. College of Nursing, Bangalore in 1992. Also  masters degree in pediatric nursing from M.V.Shetty institute of health sciences,  Mangalore in 1997 and PhD in nursing from Vinayaka missions university in the  year 2011 on the topic Prevention of acute respiratory infections among under  five children. He worked in many nursing colleges as founder principal. Currently, he is the principal of RV college of Nursing, Bangalore. He is  holding the position of chairman for Board of studies, Undergraduate Nursing at  Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Bangalore. 

He is recognized guide for PhD programme at Tantia University, Rajasthan  and 5 of his PhD scholars were awarded the doctoral degree under his guide ship  also he a recognized PhD Guide in Pediatric Nursing in RGUHS, Karnataka He  has guided more than 50 M.Sc. students to accomplish their research work at  PG . He has vast experience in the field of Nursing- education he has published 9  research articles in National and International journals. 

He has conducted more than 25 training programme to hone the skills of  nursing professionals. He has chaired about 15 seminars/workshops in the field  of nursing. He is been instrumental in organizing many national seminars with  RGUHS and international seminars with ELINAC. He is the member for RGUHS Academic council, RGUHS examination lapses  committee and RGUHS student’s grievances redressal committee. 

He is one of the member in editorial board of journal “Bureau for health and  education status uplifment” Published by Health Education Bureau, NEW  DELHI; He is also the patron and Chief Editor for the “RV Journal of nursing  sciences. He has bagged many awards such as best teacher award in the year 2021, by  the Geetha Press, Gorakhpur, UP. He has been awarded as the Best principal of  the year 2022 by the National Press council of India, Bangalore. He is a life member of Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) and  Nursing Research Society of India (NRSI). Also the secretary for Vishwa  Kannada Nursing officer’s welfare Association. Karnataka.(ViKNOWA).
